Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Leones as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Leones defeated 4th ranked Atleticos in Juana Diaz 89-75. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Atleticos. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Leones made 9 blocks. The former international power forward Jordan Murphy (200-1997, college: Minnesota) scored 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-1991, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 16 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was international forward Jose Rodriguez (201-1992, college: Texas Southern) with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Leones (6-1) have an impressive five-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Quebradillas. Atleticos at the other side keep the fourth place with five games lost. Atleticos will play next round against strong Piratas trying to get back on the winning streak. Leones will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Cangrejeros in Santurce.
Important game to mention about took place in Fajardo. First ranked Cariduros (4-1) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 3rd ranked Cangrejeros (3-4) 91-88 on Tuesday evening. American forward Davon Jefferson (203-1986, college: USC) notched a double-double by scoring 28 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Emmanuel Andujar supported him with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Even 24 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists by the former international point guard JJ Barea (183-1984, college: Northeastern) did not help to save the game for Cangrejeros. Cariduros maintains first position with 4-1 record. Cangrejeros at the other side keep the third place with four games lost. Cariduros will play against Mets (#5) in Guaynabo in the next round. Cangrejeros will play at home against the league's leader Leones and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Capitanes (3-3) against fourth ranked Atleticos (3-5) on Monday night. Visiting Capitanes were defeated by Atleticos in a tough game in San German 72-80. The best player for the winners was Rondae Hollis-Jefferson who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Chinemelu Elonu who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Atleticos maintains fourth position with 3-5 record. Defending champion Capitanes keep the third place with three games lost. Atleticos will meet league's second-placed Piratas in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Capitanes will have a break next round.

In the last two games of round 6 Guayama lost to Guaynabo on the opponent's court 80-85. Winless Mayaguez unfortunately lost to Quebradillas in a home game 83-90.

Guaynabo - Guayama 85-80

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Guaynabo where one of their biggest challengers Brujos (2-3) were defeated by fifth ranked Mets (2-3) 85-80 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American forward Ben Moore (203-1995, college: SMU) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 19 rebounds. The former international guard Tyquan Rolon (192-1995, college: LeMoyne) chipped in 28 points and 5 assists. Mets' coach Brad Greenberg used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Mayaguez - Quebradillas 83-90

Rather predictable result in Mayaguez where second ranked Piratas (6-1) defeated bottom-ranked Indios (0-6) 90-83 on Sunday. Piratas looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists.
